They can't really believe that the public wouldn't notice how they're setting new standards in anticipation of keeping costs low for government health care. Next they'll reevaluate prostate cancer screenings for men, just to make it seem egalitarian.

What's oppressing is the idea that a woman wearing high heels is more professional than a woman wearing flats, not the shoes themselves.

The word "man" can and has been used as a synonym for "human". It's not a matter of keeping masculine terms, it's understanding nuance.

Making a recommendation (not a requirement) based on medical statistics is a good thing, and what the CDC should be doing.

I suggest we do away with state-recognized marriage and move to a simple contract system that refers to two people who make an agreement to spend the rest of their lives together as a domestic partnership. Remove the ceremony required and let people sign a contract at the court.
